“I started with the charity back in 2015 as was given the chance through my work to take part in what I thought was a ‘once in a lifetime opportunity’ 3 years on and I am the charity’s project manager and love my job within the charity, the highlight for me and driving power that keeps me committed to the cause is seeing the smiles on the kids’ faces as we finish building their new homes. Being a father to 2 young children it really touches you.

Working as a Senior Site Manager with Bancon homes helps give me the tools and knowledge required to take on the role of project Manager for the charity, I am very fortunate that Bancon Homes supports myself with the work I do for the charity.

Since starting with Bancon homes nearly 2 years ago they have got involved and helped the charity where they can from putting the charity in contact with media visual effects team who did great job in putting together a short video giving information of the annual building trips.

Bancon Homes sister company Deeside Timber Frame also took the house type drawings that I had sketched in my kitchen, and transformed them into a more professional timber Kit drawing that has made things simpler on the trips.

Also with the charity dinner fast approaching in February it is great to have my employer Bancon Homes take a table so they will see exactly what their support enables the charity to do, and am sure this will only help grow and maintain the continuing bond between The Gathimba Edwards Foundation and Bancon Homes.”
