My name is Bilha, I was born in Uasin Gishu County but later relocated to Nyeri County after the post-election violence in 2007. During this time our life really changed since the lifestyle we had been living before changed and we had to adapt to the new life because we were living in a camp. We did not have food or even clothes, we used to depend on well-wishers to provide for us. This really pained me hence made me want to help the society when I get the chance to. Fortunately, we got a chance to relocate, and we moved to a new environment and life started becoming better. I managed to complete my studies and got a degree in Accounting.
I want to thank Gathimba Edwards foundation for giving me a chance to work with them and to help change the future of kids in Kenya and giving them a chance to build their future and change their lives together with their families since this had been my passion for long time. Seeing kids smile because they were provided with education and accomplishing their dreams when they had no hope really melts one’s heart.
