Joy (age 4)

Joy lost her dad during the Covid-19 pandemic and since then life has been very difficult.

Due to health challenges, the work opportunities available to Joy’s mum, Lucy, are limited and when work is available, long days pay the equivalent of £2. This makes it extremely difficult for her to afford Joy and her 2 siblings’ education and food.

Lucy’s main wish is for her children to be able to receive a consistent education without them being sent home due to a lack of fees.

By sponsoring Joy’s education for £35 per month, you will be giving her the chance to attend and complete pre-primary, primary, secondary and tertiary education. 100% of your support will go towards her public-school fees, uniform, shoes, books, school meals and stationery. You will receive an end of year school performance and general update along with a photo from us.

Please email info@gathimbaedwardsfoundation.org if you are interested in supporting Joy.

We have seen first-hand the importance of education and the impact it has on lives, which resulted in us sponsoring Eunice. We wanted to take away the financial burden of school fees for the family, allowing them to focus on rent/food. We look forward to her updates and reading about her progression through secondary school. She has flourished and is now making good progress in further education. It is rewarding to know that we are supporting her and her family’s future. We will continue to support her until she completes her studies.
