Gerald, age 15

Like most children his age, Gerald loves nothing more than going to school to see his friends and playing football when he gets the opportunity. However due to his parents struggling to find work Gerald and his siblings aren't always guaranteed entry into the classroom if their fees aren't paid. Gerald's parents rely on casual jobs which can earn them just £2 per day, and even then work is not always available. With two other children at schooling age, there has been times where they had to pick between basic needs or sending the children to school.

By sponsoring Gerald's education for £35 per month, you will be giving him the chance to attend and complete secondary and tertiary education. 100% of your support will go towards his public-school fees, uniform, shoes, books, school meals and stationery. Your support, in turn, will elevate the pressure on the family.

You will receive an end of year school performance and general update along with a photo from us and have the chance to meet him should you come on one of our House Building (next one 2026) trips to Kenya.
