The incredible Cheerful Children’s Home currently cares for 20 children with a wide range of disabilities. It is run by the selfless and ever-smiling Margaret, who, several years ago, made the decision to retire early from teaching and dedicate her life to caring for these remarkable children.
We are proud to support the home by providing monthly wellbeing assistance, including maize flour and other essential items. Thanks to the generous fundraising efforts of GEF volunteers, we’ve been able to make vital repairs to the home and add valuable improvements, such as sheltered walkways and proper facilities for drying clothes. The children, who love to dance and sing, were thrilled to receive musical instruments from some of our volunteers.
