Brian lost his dad during the Covid-19 pandemic and since then life has been very difficult. He is currently at a crucial stage in his education, preparing to complete Junior Secondary, but is regularly being sent home due to a lack of fees and other school requirements.
Due to health challenges, the work opportunities available to his mum, Lucy, are limited. When work is available, long days on local farms pay the equivalent of £2. This makes it extremely difficult for her to afford Brian and his 2 siblings’ education and food. Rent arrears have also piled up, meaning they may be locked out of their home at any point.
Lucy’s main wish is for her children to be able to receive a consistent education without them being sent home due to a lack of fees.
By sponsoring Brian’s education for £35 per month, you will be giving him the chance to attend and complete secondary and tertiary education. 100% of your support will go towards his public-school fees, shoes, books, school meals, and stationery. You will receive an end-of-year school performance and general update along with a photo from us.
