Abigael J (age 10)

After contracting meningitis as a baby, Abigael has lived with cerebral palsy, being non-verbal and unable to walk. For many years her parents had to carry her everywhere due to being unable to afford a wheelchair. However, thanks to one-off donations from GEF supporters, last year we were able to provide a wheelchair, beds and some medication.

Abigael is always smiling and excited when our team visit their home. We would love to improve her quality of life and keep that smile beaming by providing her with medication and nutritious food each month.

Her mum and dad work hard, on local farms and as a nursery school teacher respectively, but neither are employed and so work opportunities are few and far between. This makes it very difficult for them to afford their children’s basic needs.

By sponsoring Abigael for £35 per month, you will be providing her with the nourishment and medicine she needs to live a more comfortable life. You will receive an annual update along with a photo from us and have the chance to meet her should you come on one of our trips to Kenya.

Please email info@gathimbaedwardsfoundation.org if you are interested in supporting Abigael.

It’s amazing what a difference you can make in a child’s life for less than £10 per week!
