15-year-old Lina comes from a humble background and lives with her father and three siblings.
In 2021, her dad was involved in an accident that left him with physical limitations. Though he has recovered better than expected, he is unable able to do physically demanding work. He sells plastic utensils to provide for the family, but the income is minimal and unstable, which makes it impossible to afford his children’s education, resulting in them regularly being sent home due to a lack of fees.
For £40 per month, you can sponsor Lina’s education and give her the opportunity to complete secondary and tertiary education, without the fear of being sent home. 100% of your support will cover her public school fees, uniform, shoes, and school meals, books, stationery and menstrual care products when needed. You’ll receive an annual school performance and life update, along with a photo of Lina as well as having the opportunity to exchange an annual letter.
