When we first met this family they were living in a ‘house with no walls’. It was like nothing we had ever seen. Their family were bought to our attention by Wilson Kipsang whose home is in the same community. They urgently needed help and thanks to the hardwork and sponsorship from so many people their lives have been changed.
The family lives down in the Great Rift Valley in a new home built by the foundation. This was possible thanks to the kind donations of everyone who supported our sleepover at their previous house with no walls. Myles, David, Gideon and Enock were joined by volunteers Anke, Stewart and Wilson Kipsang.
Three out of the nine children in this family have been sponsored thanks to Beryl & Peter Pantaleo, Darren Aggasild and Joy Exton. Wilfred, Evans and Faith are so happy to have sponsors and to be able to got to school.
When we visit the family it is great to see the pride they take in keeping their home clean and welcoming visitors. The family all help out and work hard to plant crops on their land, especially mum Gladys, supporting her family with their own home grown food.
Faith is shy but has a beautiful smile and she wants to be a nurse when she grows up.
Evans wants to be a Doctor and he takes pride in looking after his younger siblings.
Wilfred, who wants to be a pilot is in grade 1 and is working hard on his hand writing.
