At just 14, Dorcas has faced more hardship than any child should have to. After losing her mother to cancer in 2020, she was briefly reunited with her absent father – only for him to disappear again. She now lives in a single-room mud house, sharing the space with her brothers, without beds or basic comforts.
Her education was delayed due to lack of school fees and essentials, but despite these obstacles, Dorcas is one of the top students in her grade. She dreams of becoming a doctor and remains focused on her studies, drawing strength from her love of learning and a passion for hairstyling. With support, Dorcas can rise above her circumstances and build the future she dreams of.
For £40 per month, you can sponsor Dorcas’ education and give her the opportunity to complete primary, secondary and tertiary education. Your support will cover her public school fees, uniform, shoes, and school meals, books, stationery and menstrual care products when needed. 100% of your sponsorship goes directly to these essentials. You’ll receive an annual school performance and life update, along with a photo of Dorcas as well as having the opportunity to exchange an annual letter.
