Caxton's father sadly passed away a few years back, he was a great supporter of GEF, volunteered several times during the construction of houses built by our team and local community, and he was very committed to providing his children with an education. Sadly when he passed the family's situation changed greatly as his job was the main source of income for them. Caxton, his two siblings and their mother suddenly had to rely heavily on well-wishers and neighbours.
Their mother now provides for the family through casual work on people’s farms in the village, in addition to a small income from rearing their cow, chicken, and goat. However it is never enough to sustain them, and they often lack the basic needs most people would take for granted.
Caxton is currently in primary 5 enjoys playing football and is very active in school activities. Despite his circumstances and fear of being sent home from school due to lack of fees, he is hardworking in class and loves spending time with his friends.
By sponsoring Caxton's education for £40 per month, you will be giving him the chance to complete primary, secondary and tertiary education, while alleviating the financial pressures on his mother. 100% of your support will go towards his public-school fees, uniform, shoes, books, school meals, and stationery.
You will receive an end of year school performance and general update along with a photo from us and have the chance to meet him should you come on one of our Kenya House Building (next one 2026) trips to Kenya.
