Jayden has had a challenging start to life, him and his twin sister was born with complications which the doctors confirmed in their first year was connected to a calcium deficiency. Now they must take daily supplements which costs their parents £8 per week; far beyond their weekly earnings. Unfortunately, it is not always possible to get the medicine due to cost which leads to Jayden becoming unwell and missing school.
Previously their mother worked tirelessly at a cleaning job however she became asthmatic due to the use of various detergents which added another burden to the family. Currently in addition to the casual work their father tries to get, their mother runs a small stall selling fruits. With an older child in secondary school and Jayden and his twin sister now in primary two, it is a constant battle for their parents to afford the care and basic needs.
Despite their difficulties the twins are always smiling! GEF are looking for a sponsor to support Jayden’s school fees which is turn will alleviate the burden for the family who can them focus their income on home care.
For £40 per month, you can sponsor Jayden’s education and give him the opportunity to complete primary, secondary, and tertiary education. 100% of your support will cover his public school fees, uniform, shoes, and school meals, books and stationery.
