Angel is one of six children in a family where their mother struggles daily to provide even the basics through physically demanding casual labour. With no stable income, meeting the children’s educational needs is a constant worry, and without support, Angel’s future is at real risk of being cut short.
Despite these challenges, Angel is determined and full of promise. Recently promoted to Grade 3, she is described by her teachers as well-behaved with excellent conduct. She is also an active member of her church’s Children’s Association, enthusiastically taking part in community activities.
Angel lives with her mother Margaret, her five siblings, grandmother, and cousin. Although the family was recently moved into a safe home built by GEF thanks to generous donations, daily life remains a struggle. Margaret takes on physically demanding jobs, including construction work, but what she earns must stretch across the entire household. While one older sibling has left to find work, five children still depend on her and the kindness of others.
By sponsoring Angel's education for £40 per month, you will be giving her the chance to attend and complete primary, secondary and tertiary education. 100% of your support will go towards her public-school fees, uniform, shoes, books, school meals, stationery and menstrual care products when required.
You will receive an end of year school performance and general update along with a photo from us and have the chance to meet her should you come on one of our Kenya House Building (next one 2026) trips to Kenya.
