    Little Peter was born in 2010 but the date is unknown. Peter was left by his mother just after he was born and has since been cared for by his Grandmother. They have not seen or heard from his mother since, so Peter has never know his mum.

  • The family who previously lived in the house with no walls

    When we first met this family they were living in a ‘house with no walls’. It was like nothing we had ever seen. Their family were bought to our attention by Wilson Kipsang whose home is in the same community. They urgently needed help and thanks to the hardwork and sponsorship from so many people

    In 2017 we met this family living in the most cramped conditions we have ever seen. 8 Children and their mother sleep between 2 tiny mud huts on the side of the road.

    Ian, who was born in 2006 moved to Pavillion Village children’s home with his 2 brothers in 2017. They found themselves with no one to take care of them after their Grandmother passed away.

    The GEF team and some volunteers met the very inspiring Rhoda and her family in 2018. She has been through more than anyone could imagine, fighting for her life and losing her hands in 2008 when her husband attacked her with a machete.

Gathimba Edwards Foundation aims to provide as many Kenyan children as possible with the opportunity of a bright future.

We do this through:

• Supporting school, college & university fees
• Supplying school uniforms, books and shoes
• Hosting educational seminars
• Building houses or improving existing homes
• Supporting families to grow their own food
• Enabling families to start their own businesses

We also support children in Scotland with severe disabilities via the Neil Jaffrey Initiative.
